Cybersecurity hint:

Just be good enough.

There is no end to what you can spend on security, so just be good enough.

When the cheetah is chasing the gazelles, you don't need to be the fastest gazelle, but don't be the slowest.

According to Palo Alto research of breaches in 2022, 50% of victims did not use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

44% did not have an Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solution.

28% were bad at patch management.

These are basics. Are you doing them?

If so, congratulations, you are not the slowest gazelle.

Don't hear me wrong. This is not all you should do, but these simple steps will drastically reduce your risk.

When it comes to other recommendations like security monitoring, remote browser isolation, email security, pentesting, etc., there are tons of ways to level up without breaking the bank.

Don't ignore security just becomes it seems too hard or too expensive.

Many times, you may already have tools that just need to be configured correctly.
